Field Interviewer

– Kansas City, Kansas
Employment Type Contractor

Vital Research is seeking Data Collection / Field Interviewers to serve as independent contractors throughout the state of Kansas. Field Interviewers complete face-to-face interviews with persons who are aging, who have a physical and/or developmental disability and are receiving state services. This estimated 12-week project begins mid-January 2019 and ends in March 2019 (or until all interviews have been completed).

The state of Kansas is participating in the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and System for Home and Community Based Services (CAHPS HCBS) Survey. This Survey measures beneficiary experience with the Medicaid home and community-based services and supports delivered by providers. Core questions cover topics such as: getting needed services, communication with providers, case managers, choice of services, medical transportation, and personal safety, as well as community inclusion and empowerment. Becoming a Field Interviewer for the Survey is a way to give this population a voice in the future of state services in Kansas.

During a mandatory two-day training (tentatively January 15-16th in Wichita, KS), Data Collection / Field Interviewers receive classroom instruction on how to call potential participants to request their participation in the project, schedule face-to-face interviews, and conduct those interviews. Once interviewers successfully complete training, they become part of a team of 15 people responsible for interviewing throughout the state. If you are seeking a great opportunity in a results-driven environment, this may be a PRIME opportunity for you!
